After a short four months in their new home at the RDM Campus, SkelEx has successfully launched the first official version of the SkelEx exoskeleton, the SkelEx V1. The team has worked hard in developing the product, which has resulted in a higher quality exoskeleton with more features.
The new design has improved the producibility of the SkelEx, making it easier for the team to manufacture the exoskeleton in larger quantities. This will definitely benefit them in the upcoming year as they work to meet increasing demand for the SkelEx V1.
In addition to that, the existing specifications of the SkelEx have been enhanced and new technical features have been developed and included. The SkelEx V1 now comes with height and width adjustment. Users are now able to adjust the fit of the SkelEx to their body while wearing the device, making it more comfortable and safer for the user. The SkelEx team also worked on improving the lever arm, which they have changed to ensure that the bearings are loaded better.
With the R&D and testing the team has done, they have successfully produced an exoskeleton that is stable and one that has a comfortable look and feel. This, however, is just the start of greater things to come. With their new Engineering Manager starting in January 2018 and incoming talented interns, SkelEx is on track for further development and improvement of the SkelEx V1, gearing themselves up to serve the growing market.
SkelEx focuses on alleviating physical constraints from the shoulders of the industrial worker. SkelEx develops an upper-body exoskeleton for various industries. The suit allows workers to move their arms effortlessly, resulting in workers experiencing less fatigue and increased productivity levels. Imagine your arms floating under water – this is how it feels after wearing the exoskeleton.
